JubileeCast Discusses New Name, Music With Sean Rodriguez

Updated: Jul 30

Timothy Yap of JubileeCast interviews Christian artist Sean Rodriguez in one of his first published articles since announcing a rebrand to open the new year.

Formerly "Sean BE," the article comes a week after "Sean Rodriguez" releases back-to-back single releases to close out January 2024 with, "The Unbelievable" (Jan. 19) and "Glory" (feat. Holly Halliwell) [Jan. 26].

In the article, Yap—a mainstay at JubileeCast—talks with Sean about the decision behind changing his artist moniker from "Sean BE" to "Sean Rodriguez" in addition to the inspiration behind his latest two singles to begin the year.

JubileeCast touts Sean as, "A rising star," and further announces, "[Fans] readily embrace his charismatic, high-octane performances [as proven by keeping] audiences on their feet during 2023's 40-city Winter Jam tour—[Sean Rodriguez] stands poised for a fresh season of music and ministry."

Following last year's breakout single, "Center Stage" amid a Winter Jam run, "The Unbelievable" set the stage for Christian music fans to be reintroduced to Sean Rodriguez in 2024, garnering a slot on the vaulted New Music Friday Christian editorial playlist on Spotify.

Of the song, Sean says, "When we share incredible things that God has done in our lives they can often sound quite unbelievable. However, the truth of His Word from Ephesians 3:20 reminds us, 'GOD is able to do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.' When we believe in the God who does the unbelievable our realities can truly experience a dramatic change for the good." He further exclaims, "Not because of what WE can do, but because of who HE is. All it takes is a little faith and a song of praise to see and hear the unbelievable."

"'Glory,'" Sean continues, "Is a reminder that we weren’t made to be worshipped, we were made to worship God. Proverbs 16 says, 'Pride leads to destruction, and arrogance to downfall. It is better to be humble and stay poor than to be one of the arrogant and get a share of their loot.' Humility is an attribute we must work toward every day. The battle with pride never ends but we fight it by giving glory to God in everything we do. We are not the source of light to the world, we are a reflection of God's light."
